Pasties with leftovers mince

This last week I’ve been watching a program call Superscrimpers on Channel 4.
There are lots of frugal advices but one I really liked tip about leftover pasties.
One of the super crimpers (can’t recall her name) advice us to make pasties if we have leftover mince.
As it happens I had some leftover mince in the fridge from a chilli i made earlier in the week and some short crust pastry so I tried it.
It was a success!

If you didn’t watch the program then and would like to try making this then here is what you need:

– short crust pastry
– leftover mice

Make little parcels out of pastry and mice. Paste some egg on top of of every single parcel and lay them on a baking tray.
Put in a preheated oven at 180 C and cook until golden.
Once cool keep in the fridge.
Do you have any frugal tips? Would love to read some.
