Recipe type: Dessert
Serves: 12
Ingredients
  • For the cake
  • 350g self raising flour
  • 350g soft butter
  • 350g caster sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 50g cacao powder
  • Wilton Gel Colour - green, orange, black
  • For the chocolate icing
  • 75g milk chocolate buttons
  • 100g white chocolate buttons
  • 50g of butter
  • 3tbsp of sour cream
  • orange and green wilton gel colour
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 200C.
  2. Cream butter and sugar really ell until well combined and fluffy.
  3. Then add one by one the eggs beating the mixture well after every egg.
  4. Add the flour in small batches and again mix well until all is combined.
  5. Add the vanilla extract too.
  6. Separate the batter in three separate bowls and combined two of them with orange and green and main one first with the cacao butter and then with black gel colour/
  7. Don't use more than ¼ tsp for each as the Wilton Gel Colours are quite strong.
  8. Take the bundt shape tin and spread the batter. Put first half of the black one, followed by green and orange and at the end the rest of the black.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Let it cool down well before decorating it.
  11. While the cake is cooling, prepare the chocolate icing by melting the dark and white chocolate in two separate bowls at bain-marie. When the milk chocolate is almost melted add half of the butter to make it a bit more liquid. Mix well and take it off bain-marie. Add one and a half tbsp of sour cream and mix well. Put it on the side to prepare the white chocolate. The same as the dark milk chocolate, add the rest of the butter and the sour cream. When all mixed well separate the white melted chocolate in two separate bowls for colouring in green and orange.
  12. When the cake is cool drizzle the chocolate on top as in the pictures.

You should definitely use Wilton 8 Colour Icing Set as their colours are very vibrant and you only have to use a tiny tiny bit out of each too.
