Granola with seeds and coconut flakes

As you know already i am one of the luckiest bloggers to be part of the Tefal Innovation Panel this year. Since i fell and broken my ligaments the Tefal Actifry is my best friend. I can put all the ingredients in it and then i can go and comeback when i hear that the program finished. Because of the Actifry i can still cook as i don’t need to stand up and stir the food myself.

I ate quite a lot of chips…but not only….I made chilli , apple with cinnamon and even granola! And this is why i am writting to you all today.

We love eating granola for breakfast in my family and because of its oats i consider that it is one of the healthiest breakfast out there. However the one bought from the shop has loads of ingredients that are not necesary healthy as they contain a lot of sugar. So i prefere to make my own and add the ingredients my family loves the most.

Ingredients:

  • 400g of rolled oats
  • 1 cup of sunflower seeds
  • 1 cup of pumpkin seeds
  • 1 cup of coconut flakes
  • 1 cup of raisins
  • 5-10 tablespoons of honey depending how sweet you want the granola
  • 1 tsp of cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp of vegetable oil(the green spoon from the actifry)
Cooking instructions:

Put the oats, seeds, honey, cinnamon and oil in a large bowl and stir well until all evenly coated.Put the oat mixture into the ActiFry pan and cook for 7 minutes, until the oats and seeds are well toasted. Add the coconut flakes and raisins and cook for one minute more.Remove the Actifry pan from its base and allow the mixture to cool for 15 minutes. It will crisp further as it cools. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
