Mushroom Salad Recipe
- 300 g mushrooms
- 150 g of walnuts
- 150 g mayonnaise
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1/2 cup of parsley
- salt and pepper
Wash, clean and cut the mushrooms depending how big they are. Boil them in a bit of salted water for about 10-15 minutes. When they are boiled take the mushrooms out of the hot water and let them cool down.
Break the walnuts in small pieces with your hands. I like them big as they give a special taste to the salad.
Chopped the parsley very finely too and put it on the side.
When the mushrooms are cool down add all the ingredients on top: the walnuts, parsley,the garlic which needs to be chopped very finely, the mayonaise. Mix well until all the ingredients are nicely coated with the mayonnaise and season with salt and pepper.
The salad goes very well with meat on the BBQ of course but if you are a vegetarian it can be eaten by itself with some fresh bread.
