Discovering nature – a photo shoot with my 19 month old
Discovering nature as a child…do you remember?
My youngest daughter Anastasia loves spending time in the garden and outdoors as a general rule really. We moved here when she was 5 months old so she grow up surrounded mostly by nature rather than blocks like her sister.
Besides spending time discovering her surroundings in the garden we visit the space outside too….The nearest park is 2 minutes walk away and the other one only 5. She loves watching the world passing by when she is in the pushchair but she loves analysing the stones, the leaves, the flowers and the water from the fountain too.
She is the most sociable child ever – even more sociable than her older sister who always too at least 5 minutes to get used with a setting and someone new. If Anastasia likes something or someone she’s off. She loves cuddles and if a person smiles to her she will ask them for a hug even if that person is a stranger.
Seeing her bloom brings joy and happiness into my heart. I instantly smile when I see her smiling. It makes me realise how much I missed by going back to work so early after I gave birth to her sister.
She loves trying new things and scattering through her grandmothers garden. We keep telling her that she is not allowed but she insists on smelling and tasting her grandmother goodies.
She loves when we have guests over so as soon as she hears someone passing through the front of the gate her head turns and she waits…
If nobody comes in she’s disappointed but as she turns around and sees the people that love her she smiles…with big smiles. She mutters something too but like any bilingual child is very hard to understand.
Can you believe how happy she is when she receives a potato? I can’t believe she actually likes eating them raw…
I love her so much and how can you not love her big blue eyes?
I know there are lots of pictures but was very difficult to choose the ones that are the best when for me they all are. I am looking forward to see my baby now a toddler grow, laugh, smile and become a little princess like her sister.

I love these pictures; she is gorgeous! I also love how is she dressed — a real beauty. It’s amazing how children of that age can be so curious; something that we need to cultivate in children.
