Slow life in the park
We are very lucky to live in a small town (in some aspects anyway). This means that everything we need is close to us and no further than 10-20 minutes walk. So as expected the local park is really close too.
The park is not as fabulous or as clean as the ones in London but its still quite big and quite enjoyable. Like in any park there are parts that are really busy and parts that are mostly empty and where you can really lay back as a parent and let your kids PLAY.
My girls love spending time together and with their friends. And of course I love standing back and watch my girls enjoy this slow life while chatting with my friends.
It’s how life should be lived not running back and forth from work while children are left in the care of childminders or grandparents.
“You might not always end up where you thought you where going, but you will always end up where you are meant to be.”
It is really hard to only embrace happy sometimes especially when some days are harder than others but there is always a way, there is always happy in any day.
Like these poppies…the only ones in a big of green 🙂
So why not slow down and enjoy your children smiles and silly questions? Time will pass fast over them.

Now I understand you more. It is not only a sacrifice you are doing, but a smart choice. And your girls look so happy.

I love spending time with my two outside – the park is their favourite place, closely followed by the beach and then the skate park

Ah this is all so true Otilia – kids need time to just do their own thing, enjoy the spaces around them and make games up for themselves too. Slow living rules 🙂

I’m always up for letting my kids just get on and play. It’s nice not having to be the instigator for play and just let their imaginations go wild.

So spot on. We’ve recently made a new family tradition of going out for a family walk each weekend and it’s so lovely seeing the kids enjoying the outdoors and getting healthy and fit at the same time.
