    Pinecone Christmas Ornaments

We gathered quite a few pine cones this year so thought it will be good to have a go at transforming them in decorations for our Christmas tree. First I painted them – Some in white and some in gold. I left them on the counter to dry for a couple of days and than the really fun part started. You can let your little ones help you with painting as its a fairly easy job to do. My girls adore colouring: I tried out ribbons in different colours to decorate the pine cones. Everything I had around the house really – pink, white and gold and gold or simply…

    Pom Pom Christmas Tree Cards

My girls love crafting and unfortunately I don’t do it enough with them. It is hard to keep occupied a 4 year old and a 7 year old with the same craft. But they love pom poms and these ones are really cute! And this is how the idea of these cute Christmas tree cards came up. We had to make some new cards to send to our relatives all around the country and the world. I found these mini pom noms in one of our local shops last summer but even since than I knew that I will use them for some kind of Christmas craft. Supplies To Make…

    My 2016 Sky Blanket

[et_pb_section admin_label=”section”][et_pb_row admin_label=”row”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″][et_pb_text admin_label=”Text” background_layout=”light” text_orientation=”left” use_border_color=”off” border_color=”#ffffff” border_style=”solid”] I know it is not the end of the year but I felt that this blanket was getting bigger than I need it. I simply had to stop and continue with my other project – Sun blanket. I think I’ve done quite a good job don’t you think? I know that I didn’t make a square for every single day but I did make my squares quite big though so it was quite difficult to keep up at some point. Instead of making the blanket even more bigger I just made a new white row around each of the squares,…

Tin Snowman Craft and 30 Christmas Ornaments

We are getting close to Christmas now and I can’t believe is like less than two months away. Time is passing fast when you are busy I guess. My girls favourite activity in the cold days of autumn or winter is to do crafts with their mother. They know as well as me that I am not the most inspired when it comes to it but I am lucky as they don’t upset. They know that mummy can get inspired easily from the books she already owns from her good friend Maggy Woodley – Red Ted Art: Cute and Easy Crafts for Kids and the new ebook 30 Christmas Ornaments and from her…

Guest Post from Maggy at Red Ted Art – Autumn Crafts for Preschoolers

A bit over 4 years ago I met this incredible, talented woman Maggy Woodley the creator of Red Ted Art.  I already admired her as I used to try her crafts with my then 2 year old daughter.  It was a blogging event but I don’t recall which one now though. At first I thought that she will possibly totally ignore me if I started a chat but she didn’t. She is actually the loveliest lady ever and if you don’t follow her online already you should definitely do so. Now I leave you with the Autumn Crafts she proposes for preschoolers.  ************************************ Thank you for having me guest post today! I do love…

    Little crochet owls and baskets

As /i run out of the necessary colours for my blankets – the sunny blanket and the sky blanket I had to think of something else to crochet. So I asked my girls and they of course answered – “Can you please make us some toys mummy?”. Oh dear I thought…I cant’t crochet a toy… So I had a look at some tutorials on you tube. Some of them really confused me! First I tried a rabbit but after spending a couple of days on it I gave up! It was useless! This is when I said I just need to learn how to crochet in a circle and a…

    Paper Plate Ladybug Craft

I always been fascinated about ladybugs and because of it my girls are too. I taught them the songs about ladybugs in romanian and in english so they loved doing this little craft. Although it might seem a bit more difficult for a younger child it will be quite easy if you give them your guidance. What you’ll need: Paper plates Red and black paint Brushes Scissors Googly eyes Glue How to make your Paper Plate Ladybug: Cut the paper plate in half. Paint one half in red and let it dry. Paint  little black dots on it, antennas and a half circle for it’s face. Let this dry. Out of the…
