Low calorie apple and cinnamon muffins

A while ago I was sent some of the best ingredients and asked to replicate one of the recipes from the Baking Mad website. And so I did. Tried out the recipe for apple and cinnamon muffins. You can of course find the recipe on their website by clicking the last link above. However, I had to adjust the ingredients as the ingredients didn’t come together quite well. I added a tiny bit more flour – 50g – as the batter was a bit too floppy and I was afraid that they will not raise. I still baked some muffins where I didn’t add the extra flour and they…

Carrot muffins with raisins and walnuts

I am a bit more in the kitchen (although one with an actual cooker and sink is not in place yet) so i am trying to cook more for my children. Boogie is always asking for muffins and cookies so yesterday i obliged myself and baked some. I tried to make them as healthy as possible so that my 9 month old baby can at least taste some.     Kara was my little helper. She passes me the ingredients one by one and she helped me mix them. Ingredients: 1 cup white plain flour   1 cup whole wheat flour   1/2 cup soft brown sugar   2…

    My world

I never been the best in doing things, Every time I had a project like knitting or drawing at school my mum use to help me and basically do it for me. I don’t even know how to hold a needle in my hand to tell you the truth. I tried to stitch but things just don’t come nice out of my hand… When it comes to drawing…oh dear the only things I know how to draw are a house and a flower. If you ask me to draw anything else….then my drawings are just ridiculously funny! One thing I always enjoy doing though was cooking. And when I become…

    Very quick blueberry muffins

We had this box of blueberries for a while in the kitchen but hubby and boogie didn’t really fancy eating them so I decided to bake some muffins instead. If I wasn’t on a diet I would’ve probably eat them by now but blueberries are not allowed at this rage in my diet. So as I was preparing the dinner, I thought about mixing the ingredients for these muffins as ŵell. Quickly I googled the recipe on my iPad and found this easy recipe on the Good to know website. You can get the ingredients from there. I didn’t really follow the exact measurements and the order of mixing the…

Hello my lovelies! Today I have something to confess! Today is the day when I didn’t step out my house ! I didn’t even go to take the trash out! Usually it’s daddy’s job to take the trash anyway. Anyway all in all I had a nice day! Then in the afternoon hubby went supermarket shopping and I stayed home with my daughter. She is not feeling very well so it was better…

    Muffins and cupcakes

What is a Muffin? A small, cakelike bread that can be made with a variety of flours and often contains fruits and nuts. Most American-style muffins fall into the quick bread category and are leavened with either baking powder or baking soda. The yeast-raised type, such as the English muffin, is generally finer in texture. These small breads are usually made in a muffin pan (also called muffin tin), a special baking pan with 6 or 12 cup-shaped depressions that hold the muffin batter. Each standard muffin cup is about 2 1/2 inches in diameter. There are also giant muffin pans with 3 1/4-inch cups, miniature muffin pans (gem pans)…
