    A new beginning

The new school year officially started today in Romania. This day also marked the beginning of new things for my girls. While Kara is starting Year 1,  Anastasia is also starting her 1st year in Nursery. For Kara the start of Year 1 means that she will start to have homework and to be graded. I think it will be difficult for her and it will take a while for her to get used to be graded with Insufficient, Sufficient, Good or Very Good. It is a big step! I am sorry I didn’t take a picture so I can show you her face when she was told that tomorrow and the…

    Tantrum or not?!?

How do you do it? How do you survive the toddler years? If things do not happen my daughter way she has a tantrum! And believe me her tantrums are not the easiest ever! Or maybe I think they are that bad because she is my first child? Sometimes she screams that bad that makes my neighbours come out on the communal hallway. I do wonder sometimes if they think she screams because I beat her! No I don’t! I was beaten as a child when I didn’t listen so beaten is the last thing I would do! Every morning….

Every morning from Monday to Friday I wake up at around 6 am to a perfect cup of cappuccino made by husband. While sitting up on the bed my hubby brings my daughter to me. Long gone are the days when I used to just sit there and enjoy morning TV and “Daybreak”. While we are just lounging in bed still my husband is running around to prepare for work. He needs to be…

    Why? Oh why?!?

Those of you that have toddlers already know how is like to be asked “Why” all the time. However, today Is the first time I experienced it! My daughter is 3 years old but until now she never really ask WHY so many times. This morning as we were preparing to leave for nursery we had this conversation(in English because even though my 1st language is Romanian my daughters is English and whatever I will do she will still answer in English): Mummy – come on sweetheart its time to go to nursery Boogie – go to nursery? Why? M – Because you like it there and because mummy and…

The nursery and their freaking rules!!!

I’m pissed with my nursery again! The nursery where I take my daughter since she was 9 months old I mean! Why are their rules so freaking stupid? I will tell you why I’m saying this. The nursery starts at 8am and finishes at 6pm. I pay the nursery for my daughter from 8 to 6 too! However I am not able to drop my daughter before 8.00. Well let me explain…the door is locked until 8. I can only go in from 8 and it’s a nightmare then because their like a queue of people and children waiting at the door to drop their kids. So I actually leave…
