• There be Kitty in them there hills

I walked into the room and immediately knew that there were eyes upon me. My lungs held breath inside as fear gripped my soul. Slowly I turned and came face to face with the most ferocious beast nature has ever placed upon this earth. Over a meter tall, covered in white fur and with a bow in her hair! Yup, Hello Kitty had come to town.  Okay so I wasn’t exactly gripped with fear but there was a lot of them, and not just Hello Kitty. I was in a room full of Kitty, Mr. Men and Little Missy. You see thanks to the good folks over at  M&S pretty…

  • Wipe your mouth, in style!!

All together now!”When you go, won’t you send back a letter from America…nada?!?!” Okay, so it didn’t come from America but this week I did get a package from Canada. The land of the Maple leaf, Canadia land. The birth place of documentarian Michael Moore, The home of Captain Kirk himself the legend that is William Shatner, the country that gave us Celine Dion?!?! Ok, forget that one, Canada we forgive you, everyone has a cross to bare. Anyway, less of this whaffling, what am I saying here? If only I knew. Oh yes, the package from Canada, the birth place of…Oh, Ive done that bit already… Moving on. Inside this…

  • Breakfast, on the go!

Breakfast biscuits. A viable substitute for breakfast?  Weetabix recently supplied us with two boxes of their Breakfast Biscuits. A biscuit that is marketed as a substitute for a proper breakfast aimed at folk that are just too busy in the morning. You know, the annoying bod on the Tube/Train/Bus that is tucking their food while reading the Metro and getting crumbs everywhere.  As I commute every morning I was interested to give them a go. Would I be able to throw these in my bag and tuck into them once I’m sat at my desk? That was the question. Once I opened the box and looked inside I found what…

  • Why so Wry?

Why so rye I asked the sky but the sky didn’t answer and I don’t know why! The other day I was given the chance to sample some Wry Bread by The Village Bakery. Personally speaking, this is something I had never tried before so I was curious about trying it. We were sent three types of Rye bread to try. Rye with coriander, Rye with seeds and just plain old Rye. Now as you can see they look fairly tempting, sat there in all Ryely goodness, but before you get too excited I should let you in on something. These things are mini loafs and by that I don’t just…

  • Walkers hoops and crosses, a monster of a crisp

Upon opening the box, that the bag of new Walkers Hoops and Crosses came in, I was greeted with a nice book that made an issue out of the fact that most kids don’t get enough wholegrain in their diet and that these crisps contain a lot. Beneath the book lay a monkey holding a bag of the afore mentioned crisps. Now, once me and the monkey had set to and a little scuffle over who’s crisps they were I leisurely sat down to watch the monkey enjoy them. My wounds are healing don’t worry. However I was lucky enough to be offered some as the monkey didn’t hold a grudge. So…

  • The Enchanted Party Shop

The Enchanted Party Shop – please visit this online shop as it is absolutely wonderful and it deserves our applauds when it comes to the selection of little party presents they have and the prices.  If you compare what you find at this online shop with what you can find in the high street shops – you can even compare it.  My daughter loved every single thing that she found in her party bag:   As you all see my daughter loved her new lolly, glasses, new book, ring or balloon.
