• Keeping the balance during February half term holidays

Half term is just around the corner which means that once again I will have on my hands two kids full time: my baby and my toddler. It will be such a challenge. Having a baby that breastfeeds every 2-3 hours and a 3 and a half year old that wants more or less constant attention will be really tiring. There are so many wonderful cheap UK breaks out there but unfortunately daddy has to work that week. So for sure I will have to find ways to keep busy. I’m planning to keep my eldest busy with puzzles, crafts and drawing while at home. And maybe she could help…

  • Pregnancy diary week 29

Another week passed by…not uneventful either… I didn’t have any doctor appointments but I had more days when I felt horrible this week rather then happy and content. I found myself crying even more. I even cried because somebody pushed me when I was traveling with the tube. Turns out that life as a pregnant woman in London is not easy at all. Bet this is not a surprise to you ladies though. This week I sat down with the human resources and had my risk assessment and decided when my last day at work will be. My last day at work is the 19th of October and my actual…

I think everybody knows the Build-a-Bear shops – Especially parents of little kids. The other week we took my daughter to visit one of these shops. She loved it. These are a nice alternative to the big bulky bears. • 2 year old-evaluation!!???

Well now..tomorrow I have a meeting with boogie’s key worker at nursery! This kind of meeting happens twice a year or so! The purpose is to discuss and evaluate boogie’s development. Last week I received this big RED folder that contains all my daughter’s information since her first day in nursery! This folder contains pictures and commentaries about Boogie’s development. They analyse her personality and her creativity, her motor skills and they keep a track of how good she is with numeracy and problem solving etc. Can you believe that we are actually talking about a 2 and half year old!?!? Until now I found the meetings with boogie’s key…

  • Do you love mummy?

I was very happy to come home early tonight! I was even more happy to hug and kiss my lovely daughter!I gave her a really big HUG and told her: “Kara mummy loves you very much!” And then she just looked at me… You see she usually says: “Love you too!” Because she didn’t I went on and asked her: “Kara do you love mummy?” But Kara said looking at me strangely: “No!” To which I asked “Why not then?” Kara:”Ah…..I want sweets!” You see we’ve been trying to keep her off sweets and give to her only as a reward for being a good girl. I guess for a…

  • Radical hair do…

My poor baby daughter… her hair was transformed last night! She went from having a beautiful fringe like this(when i started it was a bit longer though…):   to have a very short and ugly fringe…   Mommy only hope is that her her will grow fast enough for my lil’ daughter not to remember… Mummy loves you very much Kara I guess that in this case mummy was a little bit naughty and not Kara! I have to say that she is never naughty(even though you might be able to see the pen sign on the wall just behind Kara)! She might be cheecky..but not naughty!    …

  • Potty Training Off the table

Yes for now for at least another month or so potty training is off the table for my lil’ daughter! She is just not prepared i guess or i am too weak to actually do it with her. Maybe the fact that i am working has something to do with it as well?!?! At nursery they are saying that she will come around at some point… Well she was sitting on the toilet and potty but not doing anything for around two weeks or so.. Then she started saying that she doesn’t want poo poo so she is now refusing to sit on it altogether! Probably i should push her…
