    Our 2017 Winter Holiday

Happy New Year everyone! I know it’s been a while since I wrote on this blog but we’ve been quite busy during the winter holidays. Between celebrations, my work as a freelancer in the world of digital marketing and our prolonged trip to the mountains there was no time to spare whatsoever. But i’ve missed a lot writing here and I had to comeback and share with you a little bit about our last month. We were really happy that daddy was able to stay almost 6 weeks with us but as expected that made saying goodbye a couple of says ago even harder for all of us but especially…

  • Pinecone Christmas Ornaments

    Pinecone Christmas Ornaments

We gathered quite a few pine cones this year so thought it will be good to have a go at transforming them in decorations for our Christmas tree. First I painted them – Some in white and some in gold. I left them on the counter to dry for a couple of days and than the really fun part started. You can let your little ones help you with painting as its a fairly easy job to do. My girls adore colouring: I tried out ribbons in different colours to decorate the pine cones. Everything I had around the house really – pink, white and gold and gold or simply…

  • Cute Pom Pom Christmas Tree Cards

    Pom Pom Christmas Tree Cards

My girls love crafting and unfortunately I don’t do it enough with them. It is hard to keep occupied a 4 year old and a 7 year old with the same craft. But they love pom poms and these ones are really cute! And this is how the idea of these cute Christmas tree cards came up. We had to make some new cards to send to our relatives all around the country and the world. I found these mini pom noms in one of our local shops last summer but even since than I knew that I will use them for some kind of Christmas craft. Supplies To Make…

  • My 2016 Sky Blanket

    My 2016 Sky Blanket

I simply had to stop and continue with my other project – Sun blanket. I think I’ve done quite a good job don’t you think? I know that I didn’t make a square for every single day but I did make my squares quite big though so it was quite difficult to keep up at some point. Instead of making the blanket even more bigger I just made a new white row around each of the squares,…

A comprehensive guide to buying baby gates

Deciding how to better baby proof your home before the arrival of a new baby can be quite difficult especially for first time parents. I remember that at the beginning I had to carry my daughter with me in every single room – even when I had to use the toilet or take a shower.  It was truly draining but I preferred that instead of leaving my baby cry in her cot or leaving her unsafe in the living room. But things got especially hard when she started to move around crawling and toddling around. Her safety was the most important thing to me.  Soon we discovered baby playpens –…

  • Tin Snowman Craft and 30 Christmas Ornaments

We are getting close to Christmas now and I can’t believe is like less than two months away. Time is passing fast when you are busy I guess. My girls favourite activity in the cold days of autumn or winter is to do crafts with their mother. They know as well as me that I am not the most inspired when it comes to it but I am lucky as they don’t upset. They know that mummy can get inspired easily from the books she already owns from her good friend Maggy Woodley – Red Ted Art: Cute and Easy Crafts for Kids and the new ebook 30 Christmas Ornaments and from her…

  • Hard year

The month of October is here and I can’t quite believe how close to the end of this year we are. 2017 is less than 3 months away. It’s been a hard year. The worse part was when my youngest had her left tibia fractured. The worst 24 hours ever… I had to rely on doctors and specialist around my daughter and I. And believe me Romanian hospitals are at the opposite poll from the British ones. Nurses and doctors are still acting like they are doing us a favour by acting nasty at times and by letting us wait for hours on end. Thank goodness Anastasia’s cast is now…
