• A new beginning

    The new school year officially started today in Romania. This day also marked the beginning of new things for my girls. While Kara is starting Year 1,  Anastasia is also starting her 1st year in Nursery. For Kara the start of Year 1 means that she will start to have homework and to be graded. I think it will be difficult for her and it will take a while for her to get used to be graded with Insufficient, Sufficient, Good or Very Good. It is a big step!   • Enjoy every single moment…

    In less than a week my first born ,my eldest daughter,  my little princess as me and her daddy call her is starting school..big school! Time put a stop so I can enjoy more these days before life of responsibilities starts for her. I know I’ve been  writing a lot about her and her sister these last couple of months but the reason is that I am trying to make as many memories as possible but still time seems to slip through…my fingers… If I close my eyes I can perfectly see the moments… …when I was walking with my husbands through the hallways and stairs in St. George’s Hospital…

    My bilingual 21 month old

    Our journey as a bilingual family continues and is more fun than ever especially because of my youngest daughter Anastasia. She is now 21 months old and loves discovering her surroundings more than ever. She loves singing, adores dancing and her vocabulary is increasing by the minute! We continue to speak to them in both languages – Romanian and English and she understands both although in my opinion she understand english better than romanian. Better said…she is more receptive to english than romanian. Vocabulary Her vocabulary has mixed words in romanian and english. She identifies some things in romanian and some things on english.
