• Stay Still

As my girls continue to grow and flourish the days seem to get busier and busier and also shorter and shorter. Both girls learn new things every day at school and at nursery so our conversations and the questions they ask change. From simple questions like “Mummy why some people are smaller and others taller?” to more deep questions like “Did God really make the whole planet in only six days? I mean…how can one person do so much in such a short time?”. Their questions, especially the questions my 6 years old is asking become harder and harder to answer and sometimes I wish their father was living with…

    Outdoor Snow Activities

Because we live in Romania we are lucky enough to have snow at least a couple of times a year.¬†As you can imagine my girls love playing in snow so every time it happens to snow is quite hard to get them indoors. They have a lot of fun there’s no doubt but I think I used to have a lot more fun in the snow when I was a child. Maybe because there were not as many cars on the streets as they are now and my parents used to join in with the fun too…I don’t know… As we are preparing for some more snow in the next…

  • Disneyland Paris – Alice In Wonderland

One of the first places(areas) we stop by when we visited Disneyland Paris back in March was the Alice In Wonderland area. The girls loved it as we chase each other in the maze and believe me it was quite hard to find the exit. Kara was hoping that we will pop into Alice while in the maze but that didn’t happen. I so wish the masters of Disneyland would bring her between the visitors like they do with the princesses. I just think it will be a bonus, something unexpected. What did you think of Alice In Wonderland Maze? Don’t you think that Alice appearance will be so much…

The Look Out Centre – Discovery

It’s been a while since we visited The Look Out Centre in Bracknell but the experience and the fun we had there its still vivid in our memory. It was great fun there! And while you relax with a coffee your kids can play happily without the danger of getting bored! The centre is not huge(inside) but it has lots of interesting activities that your kids will enjoy and also have lots to learn from – science activities, discovery, water activities and lots and lots of balls and bricks! We visited the centre a couple of times as it was really close to the place my husband lives and as…

    Happy 3rd Birthday Anastasia!

Last week – on the 2nd to be more exact – we celebrated my youngest 3rd birthday! I know! For all of you who remember my traumatic afterbirth probably wonder like I do where the time pass? And as one parent does I tried to spoiled her as much as I could especially because her daddy was still away! I bought juices and mini cakes for her to take to nursery and celebrate her birthday with her friends there and I also baked a cake with chocolate like she wanted and had a couple of friends over. It was simple but she enjoy it lots! Just look at the pictures…

    Playing conkers

Every autumn my girls collect conkers like mad! They are everywhere in their pockets, backpacks, their wooden house in the garden…I usually just end up throwing them out as soon as I find them but this time around daddy thought it will be good to teach our girls to play conkers. My little one took a special interest in the conkers and you can of course see that from the pictures below… Playing conkers Pick the best conkers that you have – they need to be uncracked and firm. Make a hole through the middle of your conkers – this needs to be completed by an adult – “daddy” Thread…

  • Bran Castle, Brasov

A family visit to Bran Castle

Time has a wonderful way of showing what matters. And so these last couple of months time (life) show me that it is important to give my all to my family. Although I do need to find some balance between time given to the family and time given to myself I couldn’t agree more with the fact that time shown me that my girls and my hubby really needed me these last couple of weeks. But about that in a different post. I am now here to tell you about Bran Castle – a proof that time really show us what matters. I am sure that most of you heard…
